Title: Holding a discussion on SMEs challenges in I4.0, the internet of energy (IoE) can solve
Abstract: Technology development has led to new opportunities for business improvement. Internet of Things, Internet of Energy, cyber-physical systems, big data and machine learning are new techniques used in the industry 4.0 that enable companies to better management of resources and flexibility to respond to the business conditions. Nowadays, we passed the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th waves (ages), before 1970 fossil energies and various businesses could affect, influence and improve technologies, economy, IT and IoT and after the 70ies the technologies and IT became able to influence, change and improve the various energies, business, and even impact our lives.
Two technological revolutions are shaping the dawn of the 21st century: the development of the internet and the shift towards a carbon-free global energy system. Decarbonisation, decentralization and digitization are transforming the energy sector. These three global trends are changing the way we produce, distribute and consume power.
Today IoE help the SMEs’ managers to make the smart energy provision. The energy economy has moved on from a power economy to a data and power economy. The Internet of Thing (IoT) affect energy sector in all parts of the supply chain and also IoE effects I4.0. In this webinar, some important related issues including challenges of energy, energy management, technical and business model, the internet of energy (IoE) can solve will be considered.

Title: nZEB and Energy Flexibility
Abstract: This presentation addresses the issue of the energetic communities and they can correlate with the Distribution Systems Operator. Energetic communities is an emerging concept which can range from a block of households in a street all the way to an entire district. Their activities can be sorted into local generation and storage, demand response schemes, collective purchasing as well as energy exchange and trading. Demand side flexibility is an important asset that energetic communities can use to offer ancillary services to the grid.
This paper analyses the building and energetic community aggregated flexibility in order to provide flexibility services to the grid, proposing a methodology to compute the value of this flexibility.

Title: Electric Vehicles and their integration on the electric grid through the Internet of Energy
Abstract: According to World Health Organization (WHO), 90% of people living in cities do not breathe safe air. Road transportation is one of the main air pollutants producers and, for this reason; the promotion of the electrification of the road transportation is a critical objective for local, regional and national administrations. A massive deployment of electric vehicles (EVs) can help to reduce the greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions and meet the international air pollution standards in crowed towns but also, this deployment can negatively impact on the electric grid, particularly in the distribution network.
In this webminar, the main impacts of this deployment on the electric grid will be described and several actions to reduce these impacts will be analyzed. Particularly, we will present a novel solution to reduce the impact of the EV charging process on the power grid during business hours, allowing a novel peer-to-peer (P2P) energy trading system between two sets of EVs which are parked in the same parking area during the same time slot. This trading system will be economically beneficial for all the users involved in the trading process.

Title: Some Aspects of Cybersecurity in Internet of Energy
Abstract: Internet of Energy is a good example of the result of current interaction between Operations Technologies (OT) and Information Technologies IT).
IT has brought enormous enhancements in the functionalities, automation and control management for energy plants and, in general, the smart grid. But, as in any other context affected by ICT, it has brought also great challenges for maintaining safety and security. The changes from proprietary hardware, software and communication protocols to standard ones have provoked big problems related with security in IoE: confidentiality, integrity and availability are not easy to get in these Industrial Control Systems (ICS).
This webinar explores all these topics, beginning with the statement of the problem, then describing the main problems that IoE faces now for the Smart Grid and entering into details of attacks and vulnerabilities for the customer side of smart cities and in smart renewable energy systems.

Title: PV self consumption grid connected as decentralized generation strategy
Abstract: This webinar will study the decentralization electric energy production, concepts, and its relations in an energy free market. The difference between net metering or instant self-consumption are very important to know the different strategies used in the world into electric energy sector.
Nowadays, in a lot of countries, the decentralized electric energy generation is a competitive activity to participate in the electric market. In this webinar will be explain, one example, the self-consumption Spanish regulation.
We will comment the typical structure, and components, of a PV installation for self-consumption, in a grid connected configuration. The PV grid-connected installations for self-consumption need a new vision to design the plant, to adapt the operation to the economic legal frame, searching the maximum profitability.

Title: DevOps software development for ΙοΤ at the energy sector
Abstract: DevOps is defined as "a set of practices intended to reduce the time between committing a change to a system and the change being placed into normal production, while ensuring high quality“. DevOps-based CI/CD (Continuous Integration & Delivery) automation has become important in providing agile and economical services based on IoT systems combined with edge and cloud computing.
At the same time an old industry, energy industry, is going high tech with target to manage demand, reduce waste, and harness new energy sources and producers. A number of innovations is reshaping the energy industry, such as: smart meters, smart homes that use sensor-tagged equipment and AI smart assistants to minimize energy usage, microgrids that combine solar panels, fuel cells, and battery energy storage to power smart homes, electrical cars, two way energy distribution networks.
All the above need a new cloud based smart energy applications development paradigm, such as DevOps, for delivering electricity to the right customer at the right time and in the right manner.
